How to Claim Your Deezer for Creators Profile

Deezer for Creators (D4C) — previously known as Deezer Backstage — is Deezer’s official platform for artists, managers, and labels to claim their artist page and access streaming analytics. The process is a little more manual than Spotify or Apple, so it’s worth knowing exactly what information you’ll need before you start.

Before you start

Deezer requires three specific pieces of information to match your claim to a real release in their catalog:

• Your artist name (or, ideally, your Deezer Artist ID — using the ID gives more accurate search results than typing the name).
• A UPC (Universal Product Code) from one of your releases that is already live on Deezer, where you’re credited as the Main Artist. You can usually find this in your distributor’s dashboard next to your release artwork.
• A professional email address you’ll use to sign in.

Step-by-step: claiming your profile

1. Go to Deezer for Creators (creators.deezer.com) and select Sign Up.
2. On the “Select your role” screen, choose “An artist” (managers and labels have separate role options).
3. Enter your name and email address, then select Create My Account.
4. Check your inbox for a confirmation email and select Activate My Account.
5. Set a password.
6. Under Artist Name, enter your artist name (or Artist ID) and select it from the list that appears.
7. Under UPC, enter the UPC of a release where you’re credited as Main Artist, then select Continue.
8. Add your social media links — the more information you provide, the easier it is for Deezer’s team to validate your identity.
9. Select Send Request.

What happens next

Deezer’s team manually reviews every claim, checking your discography against the details you submitted. According to Deezer’s own support documentation, this review typically takes around 1–3 business days, though it can occasionally take longer. You’ll get an email once your claim is approved or if Deezer needs more information from you.

After you’re approved

Once verified, head to the Artist Edition tab to:

• Upload a new profile photo. Deezer requires images to be at least 1200×1200 pixels, under 9MB, and in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format.
• Update your bio.
• Review streaming and audience analytics.
• Invite team members (managers, label staff) via the User Manager tab.

Good to know

• Each Deezer artist page can only be claimed once. If a colleague or label teammate has already claimed it, ask them to invite you rather than submitting a duplicate claim.
• If your releases are showing up under the wrong artist page (a common issue for artists with common names), Deezer for Creators has a dedicated “artist separation” request form to fix this.
• Managers can claim and manage multiple artist profiles from a single account — artist accounts, by contrast, manage just one page.
